EN41B Nitriding Steel
EN41B Nitriding Steel
Specification
EN41B is defined as Cr-Mo-Al Nitriding steel as per BS 970 Standard. This material can obtain high wear resistance, good toughness and ductility after nitriding which can give a hard ware resistant case up to 68HRC. After hardened and tempered.
Application
Typical applications include connecting rods, small extruders, valve stems, dies. It is widely used in the automotive, textile and general engineering industries. Suitable for applications requiring a resistance to wear, it is also suitable for other applications such as brick press plates, clutch plates, gudgeon, track and shackle pins.
