H-13 (1.2344 / 1.2344 ESR) Hot work tool steel
H-13 (1.2344 / 1.2344 ESR) Hot work tool steel
Specification
Cr-Mo-V Hot work tool steel has High hardenability, excellent wear resistance, and hot toughness. It also has good thermal shock resistance, (ESR) H13 has greater homogeneity and an exceptionally fine structure, resulting in improved machinability, polish ability and high temperature tensile strength.
Application
This grade is mainly used for aluminum extrusion dies. E.g., Ejector pins, tool holders, forging dies, hot shear blades, stamping dies, shrink fit chucks etc.
H13 ESR is great for pressure die casting tools and plastic mould steel which requires very high polish.
